In a Christmas message to the flight sim community, PMDG’s Robert Randazzo took to their forum to reveal more about the upcoming 777 release for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Accompanied by a series of exterior shots, Robert talks through some of the details the PMDG team have painstakingly implemented on the Boeing 777.
From nose to tail, the aircraft shimmers in the low Winter sun at the Boeing factory in Seattle. The strengthened cockpit windows show evidence of colour distortion in the sun, whilst the fuselage is accurately finished with panel joins and rivets.
The paint on the tail differs slightly depending on the material – whether carbon fibre or aluminium giving a real feel of how much detail there is in the exterior model.
Closing out the post, Robert says the beta team have been busy during the first phase of testing, raising over 200 fault reports for the development team to investigate and address. Over half of these have already been resolved, and there is a new beta build in the tester’s hands as a Christmas present to them. He also confirms that the beta team have been closely monitoring the performance of the 777 and have found it to be similar to that of the PMDG 737 which will please many people around the world.
