Some brand new cockpit pics for PMDG’s 777 for MSFS were shown on their forums, giving even better indications on the details the team is adding to the airliner.
These pictures are from an aircraft product which is in active development, meaning there could still be changes in the final product after what you see below. However, what we can see includes dirt, scuffs, grime and overall wear and tear on key components used regularly by pilots in the 777.
We see close-ups of the throttle pedestal, the detail on the rudder pedals and also a bit of a view from further afield at the opened cockpit door. Robert on the PMDG forums said, the pictures “showcase the beginning of some of the “Wearing” that is currently being implemented- specifically the high-touch areas that tend to get polished by fingertips and the oils that they carry.” Vin from the PMDG team is now working on ageing certain elements of the cockpit for that authentic look in the highly used cockpit.
Night lighting will be shared in a future video as Robert said that the images don’t do it justice and get far too compressed for us to appreciate the details.
That’s all from this forum post about the 777-300ER, but don’t forget, we could just be over a month away from getting the long haul airliner in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
