After many months of waiting, Xbox users can now take advantage of the PMDG Universal Flight Tablet (UFT) in their 737 aircraft.
The recent releases and updates in the in-sim Marketplace brought PMDG’s line of 737 products to version 3.00.0091, which brought with it the UFT for console users. This means all users of the plane are now working with the exact same version without any discrepancies.
That said, PMDG did want to make clear that data entry into the tablet without a physical keyboard on Xbox is “problematic”. They said that the on-screen-keyboard does not transmit data into the sim in a way that they have been able to capture. Due to the length of time it takes to push a beta to the Microsoft team to get into Xbox, it makes experimenting with solutions a slow process. PMDG is working on it and brought it to the attention of the platform holder to see if there is a solution to this.
When the tablet first appeared for PC users, we made a video showcasing its features. Do note that the video is a little dated, but the overall experience will largely be the same.
777-300ER for MSFS
We saw last week a huge amount of new detail on the 777 (we even had hands-on time with it during Lelystad) but Robert couldn’t resist but show a new image. You can see it below.
As a reminder, PMDG gave a massive Q&A session and stated it could be in our PCs within the next 2 months, if everything goes to plan. You can read more about the 777-300ER for Microsoft Flight Simulator here.
