In an update shared across their social media platforms, SimWorks Studios heads straight to the chase and previews a single render of their upcoming Daher Kodiak 900. The aircraft was announced earlier this year and has been worked on ever since, it now has a completed exterior model and an almost finished interior.
SimWorks Studios mentioned that the very high commonality between the Kodiak 100 and 900 models allows them to spend very little time setting up and testing the new aircraft. The code base from the Kodiak 100 means that more time will be spent on refining and improving the 900 instead of starting from scratch, and with an improved 3D model, means better looks and performance.

Next up, SimWorks Studios announces the TBM series for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Earlier this year in January they signed a license with aircraft manufacturer Daher, which has allowed them to create the TBM850, 910 and 960 for MSFS. Works will begin on the aircraft as early as August but the release is still a long way off yet, they did however mention that the upside is that the avionics will almost be ready. The EFIS40 of the TBM850 shares similarities to what is used on the PC-12, whilst the G1000 and G3000 have matured and support a plugin system which will help them create an authentic avionics package.
SimWorks Studios also mentioned that the TBMs will inherit the codebase of the Kodiak’s and PC12 so most of the groundwork will be done in advance, but they will improve upon whatever the previous aircraft offer.
