Since it was first announced over a year ago, virtual turboprop pilots have eagerly awaited the release of SimWorks Studios PC-12/47 “Legacy” for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Now, the wait is finally over. Officially licensed by Pilatus, SimWorks Studios (SWS) says that the PC-12 for MSFS represents the most complex and ambitious aircraft they have developed. The aircraft features highly detailed flight and engine modeling, an advanced avionics suite developed in-house, custom sounds for two engine variants, two propeller options, and multiple interior configurations.
The initial release includes the legacy PC-12/47 for PC only (an Xbox-compatible version is coming soon), along with thirteen liveries, 4 and 5-bladed propeller options, and compatibility with PMS50 GTN, TDS GTNXi, and Sky4Sim tablet. SimWorks Studios plans to add more features to the aircraft over time. Planned upgrades include failure modeling as well as the creation of the PC-12/47E with an accurate representation of the Honeywell Apex avionics suite.
The SWS PC-12 is available from the developer’s website, the MSFS Marketplace (once approved by Microsoft), iniBuilds Store, Contrail, and SimMarket. The price is €24.99 excluding taxes.
