The trailer teased this as the “next generation of flight simulation”. The new simulator will take full advantage of the latest technology in simulation. This includes cloud and machine learning, as it will be powered by a “significantly evolved Asobo Studio engine.”
In a post on the Flight Simulator blog, it has been confirmed that this is a brand-new entry into the series, not simply a paid-for DLC or expansion pack.
