Yampa Valley Airport, also known as Yampa Valley Regional Airport, is a small public airport located in Hayden, Colorado, United States. It serves as the main airport for the region and is situated approximately 22 miles west of Steamboat Springs, a popular ski resort town in the picturesque Rocky Mountains.
Yampa Valley has an elevation of 6,606ft and has one 10,000ft runway which can handle numerous small to medium-sized aircraft such as the Boeing 737, Boeing 757, Airbus A320 and Bombardier CRJs. Although during bad weather conditions in the winter months, some aircraft have to divert to other airports such as Denver International Airport.
