Developer Pacific Islands Simulation recently took to social media to share the progress on their upcoming KSLC scenery for MSFS.
Salt Lake City International Airport (KSLC/SLC) is the busiest airport in Utah and is located only four miles away from Downtown Salt Lake City. The airport is best known for being a major hub for Delta Airlines and consistently ranks high for its on-time departures and arrivals compared to other major U.S. airports. In 2014, the airport embarked on a $4 billion redevelopment program to replace the original and aging terminal facilities. The project’s first phase opened for operation in 2020, with the entire project expected to be completed by 2024.

In their latest update, Pacific Islands Simulation explained the latest additions to the scenery and provided new photo previews. The biggest additions since the last update include new ground markings on the taxiways and ramp areas, modeling for the airport’s general aviation and military areas, and portions of the terminal interior. Overall, with the mountains and snow in the background, KSLC is coming together nicely. Finally, in the caption, Pacific Islands Simulation stated that they are getting close to wrapping up the project, so hopefully, we can expect a release in the coming months.
FSElite will continue to monitor the development of KSLC and provide any future updates.
