The FSHud – Air Traffic Control team has announced integration with Active Sky FS by HiFi Simulation Tech in their latest beta version of the popular ATC enhancement addon for MSFS and P3D. The integration with Active Sky FS enables more precise weather information and forecasts for airport traffic configurations and runway selections resulting in more accurate traffic configurations and runway selections at airports. In addition, FSHud’s traffic engine has also been updated providing significant improvements in aircraft vectoring, spacing, speed control, and ground handling.
FSHub is a simulator-integrated addon that manages air traffic, flight plans, and communications with ATC in adherence to aviation standards and regulations. This means that AI air traffic within the simulator, including ground and air operations, is managed in a highly realistic way with ATC knowing each aircraft’s actions and traffic separation. As the developer states, “Air traffic is essential for creating a realistic and immersive experience for simmers” and FSHud delivers traffic flow and communications throughout flight stages, managing each aircraft to prevent conflicts in the sky. ATC voices included in the addon are cloud-generated and provided by Amazon Polly, without any additional subscription needed.
The latest version of the software, BETA version 1.3, is available to current users via the Flight1 Agent, as well as an optional download to new users at purchase. Users can also stick with the current RELEASE version while the team continues to refine and enhance version 1.3.
Features of the current RELEASE version include:
- MSFS Marketplace Compatibility – FSHud – Air Traffic Control is now fully compatible with MSFS Marketplace encrypted scenery.
- AI Tuner – Because FSHud – Air Traffic Control controls each AI aircraft as if it were your own, we now include an advanced “AI Tuner” that allows you to fine-tune traffic to best fit your PC and environment. We believe this AI tuning system to be a real game-changer as it helps you enjoy a real ATC traffic environment with the best performance possible.
- Prepar3D version 6 compatibility has been added. The product is now compatible with Prepar3D 4/5/6.:
- Improved runway selection according to the airport environment.
- Improved ATC controlling stations boundary behavior.
- Improved altitude clearances by avoiding short segmentation clearance. For example – on flight clearance, initial climb altitude is calculated using more realistic factors, thus providing a much higher altitude. The same happens during descent.
- Improved vectoring during approach/departure when necessary. For example: In instances where vectoring is a part of the SID/STAR procedures, it is now available and applied as appropriate.
- Voices and phraseology have been highly improved, with the ability to customize factors such as speech speed, pitch, and radio effects.
- Reduced application CPU usage – the application will settle in to use only about 5%-10% of CPU (depending on the selected amount of AI Traffic). The AI Tuner helps you dial in the right settings for your PC and your environment.
