After providing their last update in March, Pacific Islands Simulation recently took to their Facebook to share the progress on their highly anticipated Salt Lake City Airport scenery for MSFS.
Salt Lake City International Airport (KSLC/SLC) is the busiest airport in Utah and is located only four miles away from Downtown Salt Lake City. The airport is best known for being a major hub for Delta Airlines and consistently ranks high for its on-time departures and arrivals compared to other major U.S. airports. In 2014, the airport embarked on a $4 billion redevelopment program to replace the original and aging terminal facilities. The project’s first phase opened for operation in 2020, with the entire project expected to be completed by 2024.
In their post, the Pacific Islands Simulation team shared that they are finally wrapping up the scenery’s development and are aiming for an end of June release. The team also shared some photo previews of the beautiful Concourse A interior. Despite all the immense details being poured into this scenery, testing of the Salt Lake City scenery has produced good performance in MSFS. Hopefully, it won’t be long before the flight simulator community gets to enjoy this stunning airport.
