Just in time for this week’s return of the Paris Air Show, the MSFS team has released City Update 2: France and Local Legend 9: Latécoère Model 631.
City Update 2
City Update 2 is now available as a free update to all MSFS users and takes the scenery of 5 French cities, Amiens, Angers, Nantes, Nîmes, and Reims, to new heights. This update captures the unique architecture and historical sights found in all of the cities, making each the perfect spot for a sightseeing flight. On top of this, City Update 2 includes the iconic Paris-Le Bourget Airport (LFPB/LBG), the site of the Paris Air Show and the destination airport of Charles Lindbergh’s historic transatlantic flight. To experience all of this French beauty, ensure your simulator is updated to version 184.108.40.206 and download the update from the MSFS marketplace.
Local Legend 9: Latécoère Model 631
Continuing the theme of French aviation, the team has also released the iconic flying boat, the Latécoère Model 631. This high-wing, six-engine aircraft was designed and manufactured by the Latécoère Corporation and first took flight on November 4, 1942. Prior to the introduction of the American “Spruce Goose” and British Saunders-Roe Princess, the Model 631 held the title of the world’s largest flying boat. Until the aircraft’s retirement in the mid-1950s, the Model 631 was the quintessential French aircraft to fly on. MSFS’ Latécoère Model 631 is available for $14.99 on the MSFS Marketplace and comes in 16 liveries to choose from.
