After announcing the release date on their social media, Hype Performance Group has released their H160 add-on for MSFS.
For those unfamiliar with the H160, formerly known as the X4, it is a medium utility helicopter developed by well-known manufacturer Airbus. The type first took to the skies on June 13, 2015, with deliveries beginning in 2021. One of the most technologically advanced helicopters, the H160 is the first rotorcraft to feature the Blue Edge five-bladed main rotor and the first civilian rotorcraft with a canted fenestron anti-torque tail. The H160 also shares much resemblance with the Airbus H145 but with more seating, higher cruising speed, and longer range.
Hype Performance Group’s rendition of the H160 aims to be the developer’s most accurate and detailed product yet. The package includes two variants, civilian and luxury, with each variant featuring six 4K liveries. There are dozens of realistic animations and effects, including rotor blade droop, engine heat blur, and functional emergency floats in the luxury variant. The rotorcraft also includes an impressive and highly detailed flight model with Airbus’ Helionix avionics, a 4-axis autopilot, automatic takeoff capabilities, and much more. Overall, the H160 is uniquely poised for sightseeing flights and visiting remote locations in flight simulator.
