Heatblur Simulations and IndiaFoxtEcho have released their highly anticipated F-14 Tomcat for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
In a new punchy trailer that has been released to accompany the launch, we see the plane put through it’s paces in a variety of situations including carrier operations and high-G low flying over rugged terrain.
The F-14 Tomcat was famously created by Heatblur Simulations for DCS, and with the help of IndiaFoxtEcho the aircraft is making its way to Microsoft Flight Simulator. The MSFS version does sport some heavy ordnance, although this is aesthetic only.
Writing on their website, Heatblur Simulations said: “Our recreation of the F-14 Tomcat is the most in-depth recreation of this naval aviation legend ever made. The culmination of over 5 years of intense development and drawing from an additional 4 years of community feedback from DCS, combined with the excellent knowledge of the MSFS platform from IndiaFoxtEcho, we bring you the most intense Tomcat experience possible.”
Jester also makes a return from the DCS version in this new release as your AI RIO companion. They will help you fly and fulfill your duties in the F-14 Tomcat.
The F-14 by Heatblur and IndiaFoxtEcho includes and models both the F-14A and F-14B Tomcat, equipped with the Pratt & Whitney TF-30 and General Electric F110 engines respectively. Deeply researched flight models and systems accurately recreate the performance and feeling of flying this powerful navy fighter.
Heatblur are also offering existing customers of the DCS version of the Tomcat a $10USD discount on the MSFS version, which you can pick up now for the retail price of $35USD including taxes from the Heatblur website.
