Last week, it was confirmed that FlightSimExpo 2024 would be held at the Rio Hotel, Las Vegas this coming June. Following a period of uncertainty due to the immediate closure of the Tropicana Hotel, those looking to go can now book travel plans with confidence.
FlightSimExpo 2024 will be held on June 21-23 2024 at the Rio Hotel and looks to be the biggest show to date. Below you can see the layout of the seminar and exhibition hall and you can see there are already several committed developers and publishers. The space will also see plenty of room for VATSIM, IVAO, home cockpit building workshops, and even a dedicated VR experience centre.

The Rio Hotel saw renovations in October 2023 and saw massive improvements to the rooms, pool areas and refreshed public spaces. The FlightSimExpo team did a tour of it last month and found it would make a great location for this year’s event. It is also only 5 minutes away from the main strip (via a cab) and will put you at the heart of all things Las Vegas.
You can now book your hotel rooms via FlightSimExpo’s website. The discounted rate at the Rio is $149 on Friday/Saturday and $69 on other nights, plus taxes and a discounted resort fee. The rate includes a $25 credit toward food and beverage.
If You Booked the Tropicana Before
If you previously booked the Tropicana via FlightSimExpo’s link, you should have received an email confirming the cancellation of the room and info on your full refund. Furthermore, those who previously booked the Tropicana and then books the Rio via FSExpo’s link, you will receive a $25 rideshare voucher in June to use between the Airport and the Rio.
