At long last, FlightSimExpo 2023 is now open! Evan has taken to the stage to introduce what promises to be the biggest show yet. After years of restrictions and toned-down shows, FlightSimExpo 2023 is back, bigger then ever. Here’s the latest from the opening presentation.
The show has opened up with a great demonstration from the Flight Simulator Thunderbirds.
Evan is now on stage saying the hellos and some housekeeping. Today was sold out completely, that’s just how keen people were to get back to in-person shows. Almost 2,000 people are going to attend this year.
Following the presentation, Thrustmaster is taking the stage kicking off the product announcement seminar.
21% of attendees are new to flight simulation. There is a selection of seminars designed for newcomers, including how to start flying from home, an ATC demo flight, taking the next steps in flight simulation and then how to get into airliner flying.
This is the biggest flight sim expo in our history. 1,900 people hopefully by the end of the weekend.

Following the show, a debrief survey will come out for those to send their thoughts. There will also be a webinar specifically for feedback and answer questions about this year’s show.
