FlightSim Studio E-Jets Development Update for MSFS

FlightSim Studio has been hard at work developing their E-Jets lineup, having already released early access of the E-Jets 170/175 for Microsoft Flight Simulator last year. The update includes some more detail on their custom FMS, with new LNAV and VNAV functionalities, as well as more insight into the state of their development.

FlightSim Studio expanded on some of their delays, explaining that they’ve been intensively bug fixing and as a result weren’t able to get to the E190/195 in the timeframe they had originally promised. Originally, they also planned to increase prices as the development roadmap progressed but decided due to the delay to maintain the discounted prices (currently €33.57 on the Aerosoft website). FlightSim Studio also hinted that they will release the early access E190/195 soon with Summer 2024 being the timeframe for their custom FMS and autopilot.

The remainder of the update focused on the FMS development including the LNAV/VNAV. They revealed that a ton of time is dedicated to familiarizing themselves with the inner workings of these systems and how to develop them within MSFS. The team’s approach is to code the entire system outside of the simulator before implementing the technology in the sim. They showed some of this backend development in a couple of nifty screenshots revealing some of the development processes behind the scenes.

For more details, check out the original development post on the official FlightSim Studio website. Otherwise, stay tuned as we cover more news of the development as it progresses.
