Developer FlightSim Studio have previewed their upcoming, and free to use, Mission Hub tool for Microsoft Flight Simulator in a new trailer video.
Designed to be used by both their already released and upcoming light aircraft for the sim, the utility promises to introduce a new level of immersion for light aircraft, enabling pilots to fly and log realistic routes based upon real-world data.
The free of charge app will be built into their EFB (electronic flight bag) included in FlightSim Studio aircraft, such as the Tecnam P2006T. Simulating realistic operators with their missions and liveries, users will be able to instantly load routes into their GPS, with flight tracking done automatically.
One of the many missions the teaser trailer hints at is that of French flight school Avialpes, who offer sight-seeing tours in the French Alps. According to their description, the simulated route will emulate its real-world counterpart ‘over Annecy lake, the second largest lake of glacial origin in France after Le Bourget lake… prized by walkers and recognized as a protected natural area.’
Furthermore, users will be able to compete for places on leaderboards based on number of missions completed and hours spent flying missions.
FlightSim Studio say their Mission Hub should be available from mid/end of September 2023. Further information is available at their website.
