Aircraft and scenery developer FlightFX has released nine new screenshots showing the cockpit of its upcoming “Project ApX” for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The screenshots published on the developer’s Discord provide a detailed cockpit view of the not-yet officially named aircraft project. However, after FlightFX announced Project ApX and posted several close-up panel shots in early November, many users guessed the aircraft was the CE-750, Cessna Citation X. Now, based on the wider-angle screenshots, that assumption appears to be correct.
In the screenshots, we see the Honeywell Primus 2000 avionics suite used by Cessna in the early model Citation X from 1996 until 2012. Also visible is the unmistakable shape of the Citation X’s highly sloped side cockpit windows. If the aircraft does turn out to be a legacy Cessna Citation X, it will represent the first application of the Primus 2000 avionics suite in MSFS, which presumably FlightFX is developing from the ground up.
Despite the details in the cockpit screenshots, the developer is keeping the mystery alive by remaining silent on any official announcement that Project ApX is the Citation X. It’s also worth noting that the screenshots are missing any direct reference to the Citation X. Notably, the Cessna Citation “horseshoe” badges typically seen on the center cap of the yokes are conspicuously absent from the screenshots provided. No other details are known but stay tuned to FSElite for more information as it becomes available.
