MSFS airport and aircraft developer FlightFX took to their Discord page to announce their next project, the CL35 and CL3500.
The CL35 and CL3500, officially known as the Challenger 350 and Challenger 3500 respectively, are mid-sized business jet manufactured by Bombardier. Both aircraft are improved models of the Bombardier Challenger 300. In particular, the CL35 has a slightly better range of 3,200 nautical miles and the CL3500 features auto-throttles and an upgraded cabin design. Out of the two, the CL3500 is more modern, with the type first taking to the skies in September 2021. Known for their aerodynamic design and incredible flying performance, the Challenger 300 aircraft family is one of the best selling business jets.
While FlightFX did not share many details about the upcoming aircraft, they did provide several photo previews showcasing the initial modeling working being done on the aircrafts. In addition, photos of the team touring and taking measurements of an actual CL35 were shared, highlighting the team’s commitment to making this aircraft as realistic as possible. Overall, this is welcome news from FlightFX as both aircraft will be an exciting addition to MSFS once they are released.
