FlightFX have shared in the joy of the festive season by dropping some new preview images of their upcoming Piaggio P-180 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The new screenshots, captioned “WIP…lash” only show the plane on the ground, but do offer a good look at the aircraft from a variety of angles and demonstrate the level of detail that has been achieved with the aircraft’s external model as well as the cockpit.
We see the plane is sporting the Honeywell Proline avionics displays, similar to those found in the Cessna Citation CJ4 from the MSFS base game, along with nicely modelled switches, gauges, knobs and levers that all look to have a decent amount of wear and tear. Specifically in the cockpit, we can see some weathering of the commonly used surfaces and scratches in the paint in places.
One of the screenshots gives a good look into the forward landing gear’s wheel well, and reveals a good level of detail on the gear’s forward column and suspension.
The Piaggio P.180 Avanti is a well known light aircraft designed with VIP transport in mind. Designed and built by Piaggio in Italy, it is perhaps most famous for its unique forward canard wing, as well as its two turboprop engines which are in a ‘push’ configuration.
As well as the Piaggio, FlightFX recently shared more details on their upcoming ‘ProjectAPX’ as well as some teaser images of the new plane. Although it has yet to be confirmed, simmers have speculated that the aircraft is a Cessna Citation X.
FSElite will keep you abreast of any further updates in the development of the Piaggio!
