Flight Replicas has released their anticipated Spitfire package for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The package includes both the Mk.1a as well as Mk.IIa Spitfires. Though similar in design, the Mk.IIa featured a new version of the Merlin engine that powered the aircraft.
The Spitfire is of course a plane that barely requires an introduction, with it being one of the most well known fighter planes from WWII. It was the hero of the Battle of Britain (although the Hawker Hurricane actually had more numerous victories), and its elliptical wing design make the aircraft easily recognisable. The Spitfire was used in all theatres of the war.
