The first batch of World Hub Airports on Microsoft Flight Simulator has been released via a small update to the simulator.
Airports from around the world have seen improvements, including Dresden Airport (EDDC), Frankfurt (EDDF), Antsirabato Airport (FNHM), and Florida Keys Marathon Airport (KMTH).
These airport updates will not mean there is no space left for scenery/airport developers as the guidelines for the World Hub only allow changes that fix or enhance airports. For example, correcting taxiway signage, removing foliage from the parameter, and so forth. These community-driven updates are then reviewed by a team of moderators before being shared to the wider community via these updates.
It is good to note that whilst we have a list of the updated airports (below), it’s unclear exactly what has changed on a per-airport basis.
In addition to the World Hub Airport improvements, the latest AIRAC (Cycle: 2402) date has also been updated within the simulator.
The World Hub is still not yet accessible to the general public, but the fact we are seeing updated airports now be part of updates to the simulator is a promising indication we are getting closer and closer.
