Over on their Discord, Fenix Simulations’ Aamir has announced that the highly anticipated V2 Block 2 update will be delayed. The V2 Block 2 update was originally slated for September, but was pushed back to October after the team missed their initial estimated release. The Fenix Simulations teams has stated that they regret to have to push back the update yet again, but remain committed to deliver the Block 2 update. Aamir did not share a new estimate on when this might happen.
The A320 V2 Block 2 update contains the coveted IAE engines, as well as visual updates to the aircraft model. The Block 1 update, which was rolled out in August, contained performance improvements, as well as changes to the aircraft systems and avionics.
It remains to be seen if or how this impact will impact the previously announced A321 and A319, also under development by the team. These expansions were announced earlier this year and originally slated for a release before the end of the year.
While the V2 Block 2 update is now officially delayed with no new estimate in sight, Aamir did share some more previews of the update. The previews focus on the renewed exterior model of the aircraft, showing off the renewed and more accurate nose-cone of the plane, as well as renewed landing gear.
