Fenix Simulations Updates A320, Brief Update on A319/A321, and Flash Sale

A fresh new update for the Fenix Simulations A320 is now live and can be downloaded right now. The new update focuses mostly on optimising the XEM performance and the artwork.

The full changelog below gives a good idea on the scope of how things have improved with version V2.0.0.407 of the Fenix A320. The performance for the modelling and texture work has been optimised even further, whilst other improvements to the LOD should see an improvement to the FPS. The external engine model has seen optimisation and also how the LVar is handled. A number of fixes based on user feedback has also been implemented.

Because of the minor changes to the modelling of the plane, you will need to redownload / update liveries from the livery manager. The good news is that in the changelog, Fenix says that the installation speed of the liveries is now even faster.

In the post, Fenix also mentioned how they’re still looking at ground effect phases. They said that they feel they’re “quite close” but have found some areas they can make some adjustments to. Furthermore, with Sim Update (hopefully) around the corner, they will be issuing an update in the future that re-tunes the ground friction model to make full use of the new ground friction model found in the upcoming Sim Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

A319/A321 Status

The next big thing from Fenix will be the highly anticipated A319/A321. These aircraft will come as expansion packs to the A320 (meaning you need to own it in order to use the other models) and are coming along “swimmingly” according to Fenix.

They are not yet ready to show anything off at this stage, but they said they are close to bringing it to their beta testing team soon.

A320 Flash Sale

To celebrate the fact the A319/A321 are edging closer to release, Fenix are throwing a flash sale on their A320. You can now pick up the aircraft for just £39.99 (including VAT). You can pick up your copy on their site.
