Eagle Dynamics has announced the pre-purchase of DCS: Afghanistan for a discounted price alongside more details about this highly anticipated offering.
The map introduces Afghanistan into DCS’s theatres of war lineup. Afghanistan is the unfortunate site of decades of conflicts between the War on Terror and the Cold War with the Soviets. As a result, the country has seen a large arsenal of aircraft from helicopters like the CH-47F Chinook to fighter jets like the F-16C and the twin-turbofan A-10C Warthog. It’s only natural that Eagle Dynamics includes Afghanistan among the lineup of maps as combat simmers have endless scenarios to recreate in the diverse Afghani topography.
The map uses Eagle Dynamic’s latest map technology and is accessible either in its entirety or as separate regions (Southwest, East, and North). Each region will be released at 3-month intervals with the first being the Southwest region for $23.99 (pre-purchase) or $29.99 on release in June. The early release of the Southwestern area will encompass 12 airfields and include the cities of Kandahar and Herat in high-fidelity. For the entire package, the pre-purchase price is $48.99 and will only go up to $55.99 for early access followed by the final $69.99 release price.
