Cockspur is working hard to follow up on the success of its C510 Mustang bizjet by teasing its next project, the Phenom 100 (Embraer EMB-500). In a short video posted to the developer’s Discord and Facebook page, Cockspur showed off what appears to be a largely complete exterior and interior model of the Brazilian-made business jet. Branded as the Cockspur PH 100, the video shows the aircraft will feature a Garmin flight deck and executive interior.
The clip also shows what appears to be in-flight footage from MSFS, so it might be safe to guess that the aircraft is at least in the early testing phase. However, no other details have been made public outside of what is shown in the video.
Designed by Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, the Phenom 100 was first flown in 2007 and type-certified the following year. The aircraft is popular with very light jet (VLJ) operators and over 400 airframes have been produced since its introduction. Powered by two FADEC-managed Pratt & Whitney PW617F-E turbofan engines, the Phenom 100 typically seats four passengers with a crew of two. The jet has a range of 1,160 nautical miles (2,148 km) and a high-speed cruise of 380 knots.
Stay tuned to FSElite as more details about Cockspur’s next bizjet are released.
