Nestled in the heart of the English countryside, Compton Abbas Airfield (ICAO: EGHA) is now available in Microsoft Flight Simulator with Burning Blue Design’s latest release.
The airfield, owned by film director Guy Ritchie, hosts a number of flying schools and is home to warbirds like the Spitfire and Harvard, making Compton Abbas a diverse and often extremely busy airfield, located in an ‘Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ in the Dorset countryside.
The scenery comes with over 80 custom 3D objects each with full physical based rendering (PBR) textures, and depicts the most accurate layout of the airfield after undergoing extensive renovations in recent months.
Animated hangar doors which close at night and animated spectators enhance the realism of the scenery, as does the extensive modelling of real aircraft that are based at the airfield, such as Supermarine Spitfire Mk. T IX, 2 seat, NH341, ‘Elizabeth’ (G-CICK) and North America T-6G Harvard, ‘Carly’ (G-BGHU), among others.
You can purchase a copy of Burning Blue Design Compton Abbas at their website for £10.95.
