Aerosoft/Sim-Wings has released Barcelona El-Prat Airport (LEBL) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport serves the city of Barcelona and is the second largest and second busiest airport in Spain. It’s a hub for several airlines, including Iberia and Vueling. The airport is also a focus city for EasyJet and Ryanair. The airport has a large number of collections to destinations all around the world.
Sim-Wings has worked to develop the airport to a high standard, using the latest technology to recreate many of the 3D buildings and provide HD quality texturing throughout. They used the latest DEM (elevation data) to add sloped taxi and runways, along with making apron, stands and the airport layout is correct as of 2024.
Terminal 1 has been constructed appropriately, using colour-correction tools to ensure it looks realistic within the simulator. There are animated jetways, airport buildings and interiors for T1 and T2. As they have worked with Aerosoft, the Aerosoft VDGS safe gate system has also been implemented.
Other features include realistic dynamic lighting, replaced all MSFS default street overlays and also custom aerial imagery which has been retouched to ensure it blends in seamlessly with the nearby scenery surroundings.
Aerosoft/Sim-Wings aren’t the only developers who have released Barcelona El-Prat airport this week, as MK-Studios joined in with their own rendition.
You can buy your copy from Aerosoft for €20.13 (excluding taxes).
