Hot off the heels of the release of Aerosoft and Jo Erlend’s latest mega airport Oslo (ENGM), the company has teamed up with the AviationLads YouTube channel to release an all-new first look trailer for their next highly anticipated scenery project, Frankfurt Main.
The trailer, which you can watch above this article, clocks in a little under 3 minutes and gives us extensive previews of the scale and scope of this project. However, we are reminded throughout the preview that the work being shown is still considered ‘WIP’ and therefore not to be taken as a representation of the final product.

That being said, we can see that the project is well underway from the trailer given the sheer amount of modelling and texture work that seems to already be at a high standard. Among other things, in the trailer we see highly detailed and accurate signage, lighting, textures, as well as a plethora of high-resolution 3D models including jetways, ground clutter, radio equipment, fuel silos, weather stations, and of course, buildings.
We also see that some of the airport’s interior modelling is complete in the preview. Among other areas, there is a fairly extensive preview of Frankfurt Airport’s Deutsche-Bahn (DB) train station, with fully modelled platforms replete with signage, bins, overhead electrical cables, seats, and even what appears to be a timetable outside the drop-off area.

No indication of any sort of release timing or date is mentioned in the trailer. As soon as that information becomes known, FSElite will be the first to let you know!
