Lukla Airport (VNLK), also known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport, is a small airport located in the town of Lukla in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal. It’s one of the most famous and treacherous airports in the world due to its challenging location and short runway. The runway at Lukla Airport is extremely short (1,729 feet) and is positioned on a steep incline (nearly 12 degrees), with a cliff at one end and a mountain face at the other.
The product comes with a new 3D terrain model of the airport, along with high-resolution photorealistic textures. There are also the newly constructed helipad, terminal building, and also the terminal extension. You will be able to spot animated people, animals, and ground services across the airport. LimeSim has also included various sound effects, realistic night lighting, and, of course, the runway’s steep profile.
