Orbx has updated one of their Italian classics for MSFS. Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport V2 (LIEO) is available now for MSFS. The airport has been completely remade, includes some new features and has been brought up-to-date with its real-life 2023 counterpart.
The update is a complete rework, and the developer claims there is “nothing left from v1”. The building models have been redone entirely, and feature new 4k textures. The airport has also been expanded with a terminal interior, as well as more details around the airport. The apron has been enriched with new and higher definition GSE vehicles as well as a static ‘fire-bomber’ aircraft.
The coverage of the scenery also extends beyond the airport itself. Orbx has recreated several points-of-interest in the surrounding area of the airport. The harbour of Olbia also has been recreated with some iconic ferries that regularly visit the island. As an added bonus, the scenery includes the airfield of San Teodoro for GA pilots.
Developed by Matteo Veneziani, Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport V2 is available now for $29.99 AUD from Orbx Direct. Owners of the previous version of Olbia are entitled to a 60% discount on the scenery.
