Orbx has announced that they are soon to release Leeds Bradford Airport v2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The new version will improve the original by adding an accurate airport layout, improved texturing and more models to the area.
Leeds Bradford (EGNM) is about 7 miles northwest of Leeds and 9 miles from Bradford. The airport was first names Yeadon Aerodrome in 1931, and is now the largest airport within Yorkshire. Since Doncaster Sheffield Airport closed in November 2022, the airport has seen an increase in traffic as most of its flights were rerouted to Leeds Bradford.
The airport will come with a new airport layout, fully reworked PBR textures, improved custom lighting and new custom animated jetways. There is now interior modelling in the air traffic control tower, along with animated people. Other details include bendy busses, fuel station, barriers, signage, fences, and even animated horses.
Orbx confirmed to us via email that Leeds Bradford Airport v2 will release on December 7th 2023. No price was mentioned, nor was there any mention of any upgrade fees (if that will be the case). It’s good to note that the original Leeds Bradford for MSFS by Orbx was released around the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator in August 2020.
