Orbx is back in Prepar3D with a new product. This time, they will be bringing the city of Sydney (Australia) to life with a new Cityscape package. Developed by Frank Schnibben, this will be a recreation of over 120 points of interest in Sydney, along with improved autogen and all-new helipads.
Cityscape Sydney for Prepa3D will include over 120 points of interest, including the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and much more. In addition to the custom buildings, 39,000 ‘CityEngine’ buildings will be added, along with 8 landable helipads throughout the city. All of these buildings are also coupled with 60cm imagery from Aerometrex.
The optional 4K textures will also allow those with capable machines to have the best looking Sydney in the simulator. Orbx has also confirmed that Cityscape Sydney is compatible with FlyTampa’s Sydney Airport and also AUv2 from Orbx themselves. The below image gives you an idea of the complete coverage area.

Sydney itself is a great location to fly over thanks to its blend of beaches, rivers, urban environments and towering skyscrapers.
No release date was mentioned, but we expect it will be landing on Prepar3D v4 and above soon. For now, check out the announcement forum post for more.
