Jo Erlend is known for his attention to detail when it comes to airport development, but he’s also known for taking his time. No better example of that is with Brussels International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This is an airport product that has had a thread ongoing since 2013. However, in preparation for the weekend, Jo has shared a range of new previews for the airport heading to the new simulator.
In the Aerosoft forums, Jo gave a range of new screenshot previews for Airport: Brussels International Airport. We can see there’s an immense amount of detail going on with this airport product. From the complex modelling within the terminal building to a large number of objects in and around the airport area. This is one airport that will have a very lifelike feeling once it does eventually get released.
Check out the huge amount of new previews below.

Elsewhere in the forum thread, a user asked what the framerate situation would be like considering all of the detail packed into the airport product. Mathijs Kok said in the forums, “framerates seem to be okay with the airport at this moment. Having 32 gb of memory really helps with a project like this though!” So whilst the frame rates may be smooth, you will need a decent amount of RAM to make sure things do run well on your system.
Whilst no one from Aerosoft is committing to a release date, we can only hope that it is sooner than later.
