Alongside the new World Update released today, a brand new Local Legend has also been released. The aircraft was developed by de Havilland Canada back in the 1950s and soon saw success thanks to a total of 307 Caribou planes to be produced.

The Caribou was conceptually based on the STOL performance of the smaller de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver and DHC-3 Otter, but with greater cargo capacity. 32 countries’ militaries flew the Caribou, including Spain, the US, India and Australia. the aircraft is powered by two Pratt & Whitney R-2000 Twin Wasp 14-cylinder radial piston engines that each deliver 1,450 horsepower and turn a 3-blade Hamilton Standard constant-speed, reversible-pitch propeller.
