Announced during FlightSimExpo 2023, the next Local Legend is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Microsoft asked the team at Aeroplane Heaven to create this historic aircraft for the simulator and it’s now available for anyone to virtually fly anywhere in the world.
The aircraft took its maiden flight on December 31, 1938, and was introduced into regular service on July 4, 1940. Whilst it may be of historical importance, Boeing only ever manufactured a total of 10 Stratoliners. What made this aircraft so special is the fact it was the first aircraft to feature a pressurized cabin, allowing it to reach altitudes of 20,000ft. The Boeing 307 Stratoliner was able to carry 33 passengers and 5 crew. The aircraft required a flight engineer, who was in charge of cabin pressure, power settings, and other components, whilst the two onboard pilots focused on the flying side of things.
Aeroplane Heaven has worked to include a vast number of details and features, including high-quality modelling and texture work to bring this local legend to life. Four liveries are included with the plane by default upon purchasing the Stratoliner.

You can pick up Local Legend 10: Boeing 307 Stratoliner from the in-sim Marketplace now for $14.99 for both PC and Xbox.
The newly released plane joins other releases like City Update III: Texas and the Ford 4-AT Trimotor.
