The talented development team at Just Flight is hard at work bringing the PA-38 Tomahawk closer to completion. The latest development update shares more details regarding the progress and states that the development team is “raring to go” in the new year.
Significant progress has been made with customization options and systems coding. Additionally, cockpit lighting is now implemented and is noted to be relatively simple compared to past projects thanks to only two rotary knobs controlling the instrument panel and radio panel lighting.
Just Flight’s development update also reveals more about the various customization options available. By default, the aircraft is equipped with no GPS and avionics stack consisting of the GMA340 audio selector, SL30/SL40 nav/comm transceivers, and GTX 328 transponder instead. However, additional options will include the Working Title GNS430/GNS530, PMS50 GTN 750, and TD GTNXi. There will also be an option to fit an additional OBS for tracking two navaids simultaneously. Finally, a KR85 ADF unit can also be fitted to the right side of the main instrument panel alongside another ADF indicator on the left side.
The EFB will be the hub for all of these customization options and will also include Navigraph and SimBrief support. EFB details will be covered in a future development update so be sure to check in with us for the latest news.
