After a few months of previews and teasers, Just Flight has released its long-awaited Avro Vulcan B Mk. 2, K.2 & MRR for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The Avro Vulcan is a jet-powered strategic bomber that was operated by the Royal Air Force during the Cold War. It was designed and manufactured by the British aircraft manufacturer A.V. Roe and Company, commonly known as Avro. The Vulcan was part of the RAF’s V bomber force, which also included the Vickers Valiant and Handley Page Victor.

The feature list itself is pretty impressive. The product includes an accurately modelled Avro Vulcan B Mk2, K.2 and MRR based on real-world aircraft plans and photography of the plane. As a result of the photography shoot, the team has managed to implement a highly realistic virtual cockpit that has full 3D components and animations throughout. Some of the rear panels are also fully functional, including the AEO panels for controlling the AAPP, RAT and secondary supplies, and Navigator panels for controlling the TACAN and IFF/transponder.

In terms of lighting and sound, Just Flight has used their tools and experience to create an immersive suite to make the plane as realistic as possible. The sounds have been made using the latest technology, with the Olympus 301 AND Olympus 201 ‘howl’ engine sounds recorded from the real aircraft. 3D sound effects have also been accurately positioned, which is ideal for those using VR. Just Flight has also included multiple dimmable lights, 25 functional lighting controls, and freely movable spotlights.

In terms of system depth, Just Flight has included a custom electrical, oxygen and hydraulic system, a comprehensive autopilot system, and an on-board EFB enabling you to change various options. There is also bomb bay doors, with realistic deployment speed, a RAT, variable speed wipers and the ability to load different types of payload. The full feature list is down below.

You can pick up Just Flight’s Avro Vulcan B Mk. 2, K.2 & MRR for MSFS from their store for £27.99.
