iniBuilds’ Winter Wonderland surprise week continues with something that is perhaps their worst-kept secret. The developer has released Dubai International Airport (OMDB) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Despite having said on multiple occasions that the airport was not being developed by them… here it is!
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is one of the world’s busiest and most iconic airports, serving as a major international transportation hub. Located in the Al Garhoud district, it plays a pivotal role in connecting passengers and cargo between continents. Emirates is by far the biggest airline at the airport, serving as a massive hub connecting passengers across the world.
iniBuilds say this is one of their most detailed releases yet and takes on many learnings from previous large-scale airports released in the past. Included with Dubai International Airport is a true-to-life airport recreation, with hand-crafted textures, an accurately made airport model, and bespoke signage that is akin to the real place. Meticulous detail has been added to ensure that the airport is as up-to-date as possible, whilst using Level of Detail (LOD) optimisation for every model to encourage the best possible performance as the major hub. Speaking of, you can further optimise the product by using the iniManager to configure your scenery.
Plenty of work has gone into modelling the landside areas of the airport, with custom ground decals, signposts, vegetation, parking barriers and more at terminals 1, 2 and 3. There is also plenty of dynamic lighting throughout for a stunning nightlife, which will go hand-in-hand with the Skydiving Dubai and Landmarks pack released yesterday.
Finally, there is a custom low-poly static model of the iniBuilds A380 aircraft in various Emirates liveries and a GSX profile included by default to load up your aircraft as and when you fly there.
