iniBuilds has announced a continuation of their partnership with Microsoft. Under the partnership, iniBuilds previously announced they are bringing their highly anticipated Airbus A310 to Microsoft Flight Simulator for its 40th Anniversary Edition.

In the trailer released by Microsoft yesterday, several new planes were announced for the 40th Anniversary Edition. iniBuilds has now announced that under their continued partnership, they will be developing two of these new planes that have been announced.

Curtiss JN-4 Jenny

The Curtiss Jenny, introduced in 1915, is probably one of the most significant planes from the early history of aviation. A large number of American WW1 pilots completed their training in this plane. Post-war, the plane gained fame and significance in the civilian aviation market, which was still in its infancy in the early 1920’s. The plane was a popular barnstormer and continued to be an excellent trainer.

IniBuilds’ Jenny will feature a highly detailed model of the Curtiss OX-5 engine. True to authentic fashion, it will not have any rocker covers and the valve and associated springs will be exposed and animate in the correct sequence. Furthermore, over 800 cable loops and cables have been faithfully recreated, using the original aircraft manuals as a reference.

Grumman G-21A Goose

Designed as a commuter aircraft in the Long Island area, the Grumman Goose G-21A is quite possibly the world’s first private luxury aircraft. The first variants features quite a luxurious interior, complete with a bar, toilet and executive seating. Later on, the plane was modified and even served with various air forces.

Using factory blueprints as well as manuals, the team has recreated a faithful depiction of the plane to recreate the luxury and feel of this 1930’s aircraft. The team has paid special attention to the engine, and created a highly detailed model of the Pratt & Whitney R0985 Wasp Junior engine.
