FSReborn has released its long-awaited FSR500 Turboprop for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The aircraft is a replica of the Piper M500, a turboprop aircraft which saw nearly 700 manufactured in its lifetime so far. It has the ability to fly 1,000nm and can reach speeds of up to 482 km/h.
From the official Flight Simulator website, it reads, “The FSR500 is a high-fidelity aircraft with great system depth allowing core simmers to closely follow real-world procedures, but it is also intuitive, highly configurable, and fun to fly.”
The aircraft has been tested countless times by real-world pilots of the FSR500 Turboprop. This level of insight has allowed FSReborn to go beyond the POH and accurately recreate the real-world operational nuances of flying the M500. The characteristics of the real airplane have been accounted for in such detail that one of the beta testers (a real-world M500 pilot) stated that FSReborn’s M500 is a 92% accurate representation of the real aircraft. There are countless features that come with the aircraft, including highly detailed 3D models, a full ground operations simulation, authentic sounds, maintenance pages, and over 100 failures that can be activated when you push the aircraft beyond its limits (or simply disabled). Furthermore, there’s a fully funtional EFB, which also acts as a monitor for the newly included passenger behaviour simulation found with the plane.
Using the EFB, the pilot can monitor the satisfaction of their virtual passengers. Parameters include passenger hunger, thirst, and temperature as well as satisfaction with landing firmness – i.e. hard landings lead to passenger dissatisfaction. Passengers can be virtually served food and drink via corresponding EFB options to improve their comfort level. Interestingly, Raul mentioned that passenger satisfaction can even be affected by the tidiness of the cabin upon boarding.
