The team at FSimStudios recently took to social media to share the progress on their upcoming sceneries and what lies ahead for the developer.
First, the developer announced that their Calgary for MSFS scenery is within a month of being released. At this point, all the major items of the scenery are completed, and it is a matter of addressing the small details and testing the scenery. As a result, within the next couple of weeks, the flight simulator community should start to see more photo and video previews of the scenery. For P3D users, FSimStudios did acknowledge they are working on a P3D version of Calgary. However, little detail was provided as the team is currently focused on MSFS.

Beyond Calgary, the team’s next project in the pipeline is Winnipeg for MSFS. Modeling for the airport is about 70% complete, and once Calgary is released, the team can devote all their resources to finishing Winnipeg. We can expect a release for this scenery in early summer.
The last major item was the team announcing their partnership with Texan Simulations, the developer behind the upcoming Houston Hobby scenery for MSFS. FSimStudios has been assisting Texan Simulations with development and will release the scenery through all of FSimStudios’ distribution channels when it releases.
Looking beyond the summer, FSimStudios has again acknowledged their intention to create second versions of their Vancouver and Halifax sceneries. Also, the team is conducting research on their next sceneries, but no formal project announcements yet. Lastly, developer Gabriel announced that he is now working as a full-time developer for the team, setting the stage for FSimStudios to continue growing in the flight simulator community.
Overall, many exciting announcements from the FSimStudios team, and it will be interesting to see the final previews of the upcoming Calgary and Winnipeg sceneries.
