Over the weekend, we were able to go hands-on with Flightbeam’s upcoming Wellington Airport (NZWN) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
During this time, we have been busy capturing screenshots exclusively for you. It is worth noting that the screenshots are from a beta build and there are a few areas that are still being worked on ahead of the release.

It’s also good to know that Flightbeam’s VDGS technology will come post-release (similar to that of Auckland Airport) and that static aircraft can be toggled on/off through the Contrail app depending on your needs.
The review for Wellington Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator is in progress, but we are able to tell you that the release date for Wellington is Tuesday, 19th April @ 10am PST. Wellington Airport will be available from Flightbeam and Contrail in just over 24-hours time.
Whilst the product is ready to be released, there are still upcoming items that will be coming post-release. Such items on the list currently include tower interior modelling, more characters and more. These extra details will be based on demand, so if there’s something you want to see, you will need to let Flightbeam know.
We’ll be back on the 19th of April when Wellington can be purchased to be yours. In the meantime, enjoy these exclusive previews from Flightbeam’s most detailed airport yet.
