In direct response to the release of BMWorld & AmSim’s San Francisco (KSFO) on Microsoft Flight Simulator, Flightbeam has shared some new details and screenshots of their very own rendition of the airport.
On social media, Flightbeam said that “competition is great,” and that it helps to highlight just how much of a massive effort goes into Flightbeam products. Flightbeam continued by adding that they are entering beta testing next week. “[We] are greatly looking forward to direct comparisons with our competing product in June,” Flightbeam also said.
They also confirmed that no schedule changes have happened, no shortcuts have been taken and that no “under construction” signs are going to be found – a clear comment on the fact that the BMWorld & AmSim version is missing various parts of the product when it is released. To demonstrate this, two new previews were shown off.
The “Captain’s Edition” of Flightbeam’s San Francisco will be their most detailed yet, after having worked on the airport multiple times over the years on a number of platforms. With the airport also fairly local to the lead developer, you can expect Flightbeam to build a realistic rendition of the airport for flight simulator.
