X-Crafts Celebrates Anniversary with Free Aircraft, Lineage 1000 Previews and E-Jets Improvements Pending

There was a lot to cram into the title because the team at X-Crafts dropped a load of news for the community regarding a range of different things currently on the go at the studio. This includes celebrating their 10 year anniversary, providing free planes for the X-Plane community and showcasing what is to come in the near future.

E-Jets v1.1.0

The first item shared in their post was progress on the current E-Jets v1.1.0 status. Starting with FMS speed, the team say this is now much faster and slicker compared to the previous version. This makes the whole experience much better for the user. In addition, there is going to be support for proper steep ILS approaches into airports like London City.

There will also be new pop-up displays for things such as the PFD and the navigation displays. Outside of the visuals, the team is improving the flight dynamics for the plane, which is being helped by 10 new real-world pilots who are providing data required to the team.

Lineage 1000

Excited by the work recently completed, X-Crafts shared some new previews for their Lineage 1000 aircraft coming to X-Plane. The new previews show off the external model and the all-new interior cabin, complete with sofas and beds. Right now, only basic texturing is used to define certain areas of the cabin, but work begins now to add lots of details.

Free Aircraft for X-Plane Community

As part of their celebrations for 10 years of developing on X-Plane, X-Crafts will be giving away a free aircraft to X-Plane 11 and 12 users. Very soon, you will be able to download X-Crafts’ original E-Jets for X-Plane 11 and 12. Whatsmore is that they have been improved a bit (over 100 changes) and optimised for X-Plane 12.

Expect to find a higher-resolution map displaying a Top of Descent indication. Descending will now be much easier with the new FPA Autopilot Mode and view vertical path deviations on the PFD.

It will be free and won’t be quite as good as their newly released Payware and next version of the E-Jets, but they are a good starting point for anyone who wants to try them out.

That covers everything from X-Crafts, but be sure to stay tuned to FSElite for the latest when we learn more.
