FlightFactor’s 777v2 has been one of the most anticipated aircraft for X-Plane and so a release date is eagerly awaited by the community. The team has announced a bit of a release schedule, with plans for open beta and closed alpha happening right now.
On social media, FlightFactor confirmed that a non-public alpha version will be released to an exclusive group of people via invitation. An NDA will need to be signed, preventing people from sharing information outside their specific forums. You can’t apply for this, but the team will reach out to specific individuals. Once this period has been completed, Flight Factor will open this up further.
After testing behind closed doors is complete, the team will release a public beta which will include “all major features” such as working radars, VNAV, etc. However, CPDLC will be excluded, but FlightFactor hopes it comes out soon afterwards.
We sadly have no indication of when a full release will come, but this is certainly a step in the right direction for those eagerly awaiting the release of the 777v2 on X-Plane from FlightFactor. You can enjoy the new previews above in the meantime.
