VIRPIL Controls has announced the Apache-64 Collective Grip. The grip has been inspired by the real-life collective of the AH-64 Apache helicopter, and is indeed a very accurate representation with some minor changes. The unit accurately resembles the two different sections that the collective is made of, with the ‘flight control grip’ and the ‘mission control grip’. The flight control grip contains the controls for flight and navigation amongst other things, while the mission control grip is meant to control the Apache’s sensors.
Different from the real helicopter collective, the VPC Apache-64 Collective Grip features 8 independent RGB zones that can be programmed. The grip has been made with a durable and high quality construction.
VIRPIL’s Apache-64 Collective Grip is available for pre-order now for €219,95 (on sale, normal price €269,95). The unit is expected to enter shipping in January of 2024.
