Verticalsim Provo Municipal Airport for MSFS Released

After teasing the project in August, Verticalsim has released its Provo Municipal Airport scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Located in the State of Utah in the Mountain West region of the United States, Provo Municipal Airport (KPVU) is a busy airport serving general aviation passengers and commercial air travelers with flights to destinations in the Western United States and beyond. Surrounded by picturesque water and mountain landscapes, KPVU features a newly constructed passenger terminal with routes serviced by Allegiant and Breeze airlines. KPVU is also the home to Utah Valley University’s School of Aviation Sciences, training the next generation of professional pilots and aviation managers.

Verticalsim PVU

Operated by the City of Provo, Utah’s second-largest metropolitan area after Salt Lake City, KPVU is located about 40 miles (64 km) south of Salt Lake City International Airport. Provo Municipal Airport covers 869 acres (3.5 km2) and has two asphalt runways: 13/31: 8,603 ft × 150 ft (2,622 m × 46 m), and 18/36: 6,628 ft × 150 ft (2,020 m × 46 m). Runway 13 is served by an ILS and GPS approach.

GA pilots will find ample facilities including hangars, Signature FBO, and Duncan Aviation’s 328,000 sq/ft (30,472 sq/m) maintenance facility on the north end of the field.
