Scenery developer Verticalsim has announced that they will be bringing Provo Municipal Airport (KPVU) to Microsoft Flight Simulator. The team announced the news on Facebook, confirming their commitment to making larger regional airports and smaller municipal airports across the US.
The airport was teased a few days earlier by the team, with them saying that locals “love Beehives and Skiing.” Situated in the city of Provo, Utah, you’ll find this bustling commercial airport. Embraced by picturesque water and mountain landscapes, the circle-to-land approach to runway 13 promises an exhilarating experience for passionate flight enthusiasts. Provo also has a newly constructed terminal, offering an array of convenient routes serviced by Allegiant and Breeze airlines. Additionally, it stands as a hub of activity for general aviation and business jet endeavors, boasting an abundance of FBOs.
Whilst the airport may still be in development, Verticalsim was able to provide the feature list. This includes 0.5cm/res orthoimagery, high-resolution texturing throughout, animated passengers in the terminal, and use of proper airport lighting. The full feature list is stated down below.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any news from Verticalsim about Provo Municipal Airport.
