P3D users received much-welcomed news from scenery developer Sierrasim with the release of Lynden Pindling International Airport (MYNN) for P3DV4.5 and V5.
After releasing the same airport for MSFS, Sierrasim announced on social media that they would bring the gateway to the Bahamas to P3D. One of the busiest airports in the Caribbean, Lynden Pindling International primarily serves the Bahamian capital city of Nassau and operates as a hub for Bahamasair, Western Air, and Pineapple air. The airport was previously known as Nassau International Airport but was renamed to its current name to honor the first prime minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Before the pandemic, the airport served 4 million passengers annually. In addition to the wide variety of airline services from North America, the airport sees widebody service from British Airways and Virgin Atlantic to London.
Looking at the photo previews, it is clear that Sierrasim has put a great deal of detail into the airport’s exterior modeling and ground textures. All buildings and vehicles feature PBR texturing, which goes nicely with the autogen surrounding the airport. The terminal buildings are equipped with SODE jetways, as well as dynamic night lighting. Overall, with the detailed exterior modeling, ground textures, and crystal blue water, users truly feel like they are flying into Nassau.
You can purchase Sierrasim Simulation’s newest scenery directly from their website for $16.00 USD.
